Heritage Renovation

Heritage Project

Located in West Geelong this project was a complete house renovation, originally built in 1910 the house architecture possessed some grand features from the time.

The project started with restoring the original facade to its former glory and extended throughout the house to include the four bedrooms, kitchen, lounge room extension and an outdoor entertainment area.

Beach Parade Project

Winner of the Master Builders Victoria Excellence in Housing Awards Best Renovation/Addition $500,000-$750,000 Category.

This project saw the complete transformation of a 1900s home. While the front bedrooms received minimal updates, the key living spaces were reimagined with a full renovation.

The kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, and dining areas were reconfigured for better functionality and flow, with an extended ensuite offering a luxurious retreat.

New flooring and fresh paint unified the interiors, while outside, the deck was extended and a striking freestanding steel pergola added. Floating tread stairs with integrated LED lighting became a standout feature. The result is a beautifully updated home, perfectly tailored to its owners’ lifestyle.

Client Testimonial

Tom was meticulous from end-to-end of the renovation for our beautiful period home. From the quoting process, which was really clear and well stepped through, to planning and the subsequent build. His attention to detail and communication were superb and skills you absolutely want from a builder. His project management was excellent and all of his trades were really lovely and easy to deal with. The end result has been a high-end and quality build that is stunning – we have to pinch ourselves that it is our home. We have no hesitation in recommending Chapman Building Group.

Askew Project

Askew Project

Consisting of a lounge room extension and outside entertainment area with sliding doors adjacent to an in-ground pool forming a beautiful area for relaxation. The extension is one the builder and the client are very proud of.

When you enter this area the first thing you’ll notice is the recycled bricks, the eclectic nature of these bricks gives the overall feel and character of industrial architecture. The warmth of the timber cladding on the external kitchenette cabinetry blends beautifully with the bricks. The concrete benchtop on the kitchenette continues the industrial flavour. The new all white kitchen allows the recycled brick feature wall to exude its charm.

Lawton Project

Lawton Extension

This extension to a Geelong West house originally built in the 1910s adds a modern touch while paying respects the heritage façade. The architecturally designed extension utilises large commercial windows which allow an abundance of natural light to flow through.

Polished concrete floors beautifully compliment the white walls and warmth of the timber used for the balustrade and stairs.  The entertainment area also included a kitchenette and bathroom suite. The kitchenette was finished in beautiful black marble look for the bench and the splash-back.

Externally a feature wall finished in spotted gum shiplap cladding creates a warm contrast to the black tin/metal facade and matching black aluminium windows. This contemporary extension has successfully blended an older heritage house with its own unique decorative features from a very popular architecture style of the time.
